If it wouldn't have been for the "warning signs" a couple of weeks before I
would have definitely been surprised.  Do you have a vendetta against men in
general? 
....The only thing I can come up with is that I was a potential pawn in a

 ...I also have standards and morals I live by.  There is not a man, nor  money that can lower them.   So, the potential pawn is a very low thought.  My time is much more valuable than that.   That you would even think I am capable of such a thing tells me you never paid much attention to the person I am....

• 7/03 - ANOTHER SATURDAY 6/30 AND ANOTHER RUCKUS AT THE LONG BRIDGE FIGHT CLUB. THIS TIME IT WAS IT WAS IN BROAD DAY LIGHT WITH FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN THE CROSSFIRE. SEEMS SOME BOATERS AND BIKERS WOUND UP TIED UP. THE REPORTING CUSTOMER QUICKLY PAID THEIR TAB AND LEFT THE BUILDING. NOT SURE WHAT THEY WERE FIGHTING ABOUT BUT IT HAS BEEN RUMORED TO BE OVER THE LAST 4 HOUR OLD PIECE OF A DISCOUNTED CONVENIENCE STORE PIZZA

• 6/30 - WE HAVE HAD SO MANY COMMENTS ABOUT  A CERTAIN PUBLIC RESTROOM IN AND AROUND LAKE HARDING WE THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE SOME FUN. WE WENT TO STRATEGICALLY PLACE 30 FLIES IN A RESTROOM, HAVE SOMEONE CRAP ON THE SEAT, REMOVE THE T.P., PAPER TOWELS AND MADE SURE THE WASTEBASKET WAS OVERFLOWING (IT ALL WAS ALREADY DONE ). • Received 6/28 "_ _ _ _ _ _ _ OWNER SHOWING "INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR"

I attended a private party on the backwater over the Holiday.....the female owner of the _ _ _ _ _ _ _  was DRUNK, DRUNK, DRUNK....slurring, staggering and slobering........if she had been in her place of business, she would have been ejected for inapproprite behavior! HOWEVER......everyone deserves a chance to "let their hair down"!........even the most judgemental people I have ever met deserve some party time! jdlk
 

• 6/23 - AS IF WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TROUBLE WITH THE GA. S.W.A.T. TEAM SOMEONE NEAR THE DAM COMPLAINED ABOUT BOATS COMING WITHIN THE 100 FT. LIMIT OF THEIR DOCK. SEVERAL S.W.A.T. UNITS WERE COUNTED FROM SKI-ISLAND TO THE DAM. ONE "DEFENDANT" STATED THE LAST 3 HOMES THEY WERE AT IF YOU COUNTED OFF 100 FEET FROM THEIR DOCK YOU WOULD BE CUTTING THE NEIGHBOR'S GRASS "IN THE BACKYARD" ACROSS THE SLUE. WHAT DO THEY SAY WHEN BOATERS COME IN AND TRY TO "GET UP ON ONE" IN THE CALM WATERS OF A SLUE? WE WAVE TO THEM AND SAY ISN'T LIFE GRAND.

• OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE GOOD SAMARITAN THAT WAS TRYING TO HELP SOMEONE GET THEIR PWC GOING SOMETIMES DURING THE WEEK OF 6/18 AND WAS BURNED BAD BY FIRE. AS OF TO DATE HE IS STILL IN THE BURN CENTER. IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY NEW INFORMATION OR IF THEY ARE SETTING UP A FUND PLEASE LET US KNOW.

• MAN WHO SPEAK WITH FORKED TONGUE SHOULD NOT SPEAK OUT OF BOTH SIDES OF MOUTH. MAKE HIMSELF ONE BIKER CHIC AFFAIR AWAY FROM PLYING HIS TRADE FROM SHOP BACK TO SOMEONE'S DOCK. BACK IN THE OLD DAYS IT WAS A HAND SHAKE OR LOOK 'EM IN THE EYE.

• RUMOR HAS IT SOMEONE'S HEADLIGHTS WERE LEFT ON AT A HAPPENING LAKE PARTY THIS PAST WEEKEND 3/15/07-3/17/07.  ALSO THE HEADLIGHTS OWNER WAS DUI (DANCING UNDER THE INFLUENCE) AND SPEAKING SWAHILIN .  DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT ANY BOOTY MUSIC TYPE DANCING. THE WOMEN WEREN'T TOO AMUSED BUT CONGRATULATIONS TO ANY FATHER'S THAT WERE THERE TO SEE IT ON FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND.

• I CAN'T BELIEVE IT BUT RUMOR HAS IT THAT IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN LAST WEEKEND 7/8/07-7/9/07. CUSTOMERS DANCING AT ONE LAKE HARDING NIGHT CLUB WERE ASKED TO LEAVE BECAUSE THEY WERE DANCING AGAIN. THE CUSTOMER WENT TO GET ANOTHER DRINK AND WAS HANDED HIS TAB AND TOLD "WE DON'T DANCE LIKE THAT, YOU'RE OUTTA HERE". THIS TIME IT WAS TO KARAOKE MUSIC. GEESH

• WANT TO BUY OR SELL YOUR LAKE HARDING PROPERTY. DON'T LET A DISTANT  RELATIVE / FRIEND GET INVOLVED. YOU THINK YOUR INTERE$T IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THEIR 100+ CLOSINGS A YEAR? MONEY TALKS. RELATIVES & FRIENDS WALK.

• GOT AN EMAIL ABOUT A BIG RUCKUS AT ONE OF OUR LOCAL LAKE HARDING NIGHT SPOTS. SEEMS LIKE THIS BAND CAUSED CUSTOMERS TO GET UP FROM THEIR TABLES AND HOLD EACH OTHER AND MOVE IN A PROVOCATIVE MANNER ON THE DANCE FLOOR (I.E. DANCING) AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. NO THERE WEREN'T ANY FIGHTS. IT SEEMS THE OWNERS OBJECTED TO THIS ACTIVITY (I.E. DANCING) AND HAD THEIR BOUNCERS EJECT OVER 30 CUSTOMERS AND THE BAND AND CALLED 911.

• SOMEONE HAS A RUMOR GOING THAT THEY ARE BUILDING A RESTAURANT OR  SOMETHING UP THE RIVER ON THE ALABAMA SIDE OF LAKE HARDING WHERE YOU CAN GET TO BY LAND OR WATER.

• RUMOR HAS IT "THE BUD GIRLS" WERE INVITED TO A LOCAL LAKE HARDING NIGHT CLUB AND WERE TOLD TO PUT SOME CLOTHES ON WHILE MRS. OWNER OF THE BAR LETS IT ALL HANG OUT TO THE MALE CUSTOMERS. MAYBE MR. OWNER SHOULD ROLL BACK SOME DVD (WITH SOUND) FOOTAGE. WHY WOULD "THE BUD GIRLS" COME SCANTILY CLAD ANYWAY? CAN YOU SPOT DOESN'T FIT IN A NIGHTCLUB BELOW?

• LOTS OF RUMORS COMING IN ABOUT SOME ACTIVITY AT THE SAND BAR BUT WE CAN'T AND WILL NOT PRINT. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SAND BAR NORMALLY WINDS UP IN YOUR INBOX MONDAY MORNING, ALONG WITH 3000 OTHER CONCERNED CITIZEN'S. DANG INTERNET.

• A CERTAIN SOMEONE LEARNED WHO IS BACK STABBING FRIENDS WERE RECENTLY. ALL IS WELL AS LONG AS YOUR POURING THEM DRINKS AND SUPPLYING THE FEMALE COMPANY. "SMILING IN YOUR FACE ALL THE TIME THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR PLACE, THE BACKSTABBERS".
   

   

• Well, heard tell that Jeff Foxworthy and a few friends were hunting at some private place on Lee road 379, and was also seen fishing at Lake Harding  in a shiney red bass boat. If there were any other sightings let us know.

   

• Just so everyone knows, if you catch or spot that big 10 ft. Alligator that has been terrorizing everyone that lives on Lee road 345, there is someone to call to come and get him.     He is The Alligator Catcher  and his number is:  XXX-XXX-XXXX     This is not a joke, this is what the man does for a living. He was even on the news.

   

• WELL THEY CLOSED LEE 379 THIS WEEK TO PREPARE FOR THE PAVING. KIND OF MAKES YOU THINK OUT OF ALL THE ROADS IN LEE COUNTY ALABAMA HOW THEY CAME UP WITH THE ONE RUNNING RIGHT OVER THE LAKE AT THE BEGINNING OF SPRING. WHAT WAS UP IN JANUARY? 

• IT SEEMS LIKE ALL THE LYING, TRADUCING AND GOSSIP COMING FROM PSYCHO, THE GRIM REAPER AND THE WITCH THIS PAST WINTER HAS ALL PAID OFF. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW. ANYONE THAT PERSONALLY KNOWS THE TARGET OR THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THE TARGET CONSIDERED THE SOURCE. TARGET APPRECIATES THAT.

   

• THE FOLLOWING WAS SENT IN RESPONSE TO THE LEE RD. 379 WORK

  The reason the road is being fixed is not out of concern for all of the locals who have fought it for years, not for the lure of those who frequent the local and certinly not for the sake of any and all who work in our area, and beyond, and not for the sake of safety. Surely it would not take a genius to figure out  it is because of the new plant.     

   After all, the semi's that delivered all the large pipe and fans had enough trouble just turning onto the road that leads to it, and blocked traffic for ungodly amounts of time....The trucks were almost wider than the road itself! Come on, You have to know, as long as it takes to get anything constructive done around here, there had to be a bigger reason than just us, for this to be getting done. I venture to say, the second and only other reason would have to be to sell all those neat "little" houses they have constructed along 379...besides if they don't fix it, some "lucky Joe" will end up in the livingroom of one of those sweet little houses, and I don't think he will be sitting in a recliner!

   

   

• EDITORS NOTE - Editor lives in a sweet "little" house. Easy to clean if I ever decide to clean it.

• An observation was made last week by the owner of a Lake Front business. "If you get stabbed in the back by some old friends don't think twice they won't do it again". Ouch! Smiling in your face all the time they want to take your place....The Backstabbers... (Can you believe this was written over a year ago. What a physic.)

   

• On Being Good Neighbors......The following was sent in and didn't mind using their names. We thought it best to just let it be anonymous..........
    
   
  Spring is well under way and we are all gearing up for a great summer on the lake, but I would like to remind folks to be careful about infringing on their neighbors...specifically, their use of night lighting.  It is probably hard to realize just what an impact dock and lawn lights have on people far away.  This note is to encourage those of us who do light up, to realize that others enjoy darkness.  So, please, keep your lights shining DOWN on your own space, not out on the water.  Thanks for cooperating in making...no, KEEPING our little corner of the world as perfect as possible!

• THERE ARE ALLIGATORS AND CROCKADILES LIVING IN LAKE HARDING. WE HAVE BEEN HEARING THIS FOR YEARS. ONE SIDE SWEARS BY IT AND THE OTHER LAUGHS IT OFF. WE DON'T THINK ANY OF THESE COULD LIVE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME IN THE LAKE. IF YOU HAVE SOME INPUT OR PICTURES PLEASE EMAIL THEM TO US SO WE CAN PUT THEM ON THE WEBSITE.

• IS THE SAME LOCAL SOCIALITE THAT PUT MATTRESS'S IN A LAKE RESIDENTS YARD AND ROLLED THEIR YARDS WITH T.P.(YOU REMEMBER HIGH SCHOOL)  IN A DRUNKEN STUPOR BECAUSE OF HATE, THE SAME LADY THAT PICKED A FIGHT WITH A DEPUTY, A PROMINENT CIVILIZED COUPLE THAT LIVE BY THE DAM AT A LOCAL ESTABLISHMENT& ALSO LET A GUEST AT HER PARTY LAY DYING ON THE FLOOR AND REFUSED TO GET MEDICAL ATTENTION OR DIAL 911 BECAUSE SHE WAS BUSY ENTERTAINING OTHER GUEST. WE WILL INVESTIGATE THIS ONE AND ADD NEXT WEEK. DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO GIVE THIS ONE THE FULL ATTENTION IT NEEDS.

• THAT WAS NOT BART STARR BEING INTRODUCED TO EVERYONE AT THE  KOKOMO'S WHARF LABOR DAY. BART'S PR HAS NEITHER CONFIRMED NOR DENIED THIS. KOKOMO'S WILL ADVERTISE IF WE HAVE SOMEONE ON THE WHARF MORE FAMOUS THAN RONNIE. (HARRIS) THAT IS.
